I stayed at the Cocos Hotel for a week. It is a boutique hotel for honeymooners so all the hotel staff was too confused to see a solo traveler there just for relaxation after partying in Europe. They even thought I was a tour operator!?! Still it is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed. The food was delicious. Lying on the hammock and taking a shower at the balcony while watching the beautiful Caribbean and Montserat view... It was like paradise. And the beach, clear turquoise - green water was definitely one of the best beaches both in Antigua and among the other exotic places i have ever been to.
The best part was it was super close to Jacqui O's Love Beach, which is top of the top with the fantastic food, love beds, perfect coctails and stunning sunset. A must go in Antigua! I can't wait to go there again!

This is my first review on Trip Advisor. Like most of you, I spend a lot of time reading reviews and debating whether to trust them, or not. Regarding Cocos Hotel, if you understand that the resort is rustic and intimate, trust the reviews and go! The best part of this resort is the staff - as others have said, all of the staff genuinely treat you like family, and knew our names on the first day and every day after. The food is better than any all-inclusive we have stayed at - and do not worry about small portions (they weren't "small"), if you really are hungry order each appetizer and two entrees - they are happy to give you what you want. A very peaceful and relaxing resort, with an amazingly turquoise blue ocean. One of the best trips I have ever had.
